Cheese Head

So remember all of our posts about our JMU Dukes and how proud we are to be DUKES? Well this story only continues to get more awesome. Dukes stick together and I am constantly proud of the class act that is the JMU football program. Cooper has been watching Dukes football for some time now. Last year he really started to get into it and loved watching the team. When we went to visit the team this year and attended a game, Coach Mike Houston gave Cooper the #5 jersey which was a game worn jersey by now, GB Packers Safety Raven Greene. I decided to send Raven a message on the off chance that he might see it, telling him that we were so proud to have a piece of his legacy from JMU.

Last Saturday after Santa pictures, we got home a there was a box from Raven Greene himself! He thought Cooper needed to upgrade his gear! He sent Cooper a box of Packers stuff as well as a signed mini helmet and a Raven Greene jersey so Coop could have his pro jersey too. Also, in the box is probably now one of Cooper's most prized possessions, the GB Packer Cheesehead hat. For those of you who know Cooper well, one of Coops favorite things in life is CHEESE!!!!

Now I will tell you that we do not know Raven Greene, but what we do know is that he is a kind and humble man who took it upon himself to send some early Christmas presents to Coop. When we sent him pictures of Cooper and thanked him for his unbelievable kindness, he responded by saying that he couldn't take the credit because he was so fortunate that God put him in a position to be able to help out and give back.  I hope that one day we get to meet Raven and thank him in person.

This absolutely made Cooper's day...week...Christmas! He has decided he is a full blown Packers fan and needed me to buy a Packers ornament for the sports tree because the Redskins and Ravens ornaments just weren't cutting it this year!

Thank you Raven for making a difference and for brightening this kid's day. He will be honored to wear your jersey!

The CHEESEHEAD!!!!! This face says it all!
