Week 2 Update
Week 2:
All in all, it's been a good week at the Trueblood's. We have had great help over the last several weeks from both sets of Cooper's Grandparents (thank you for putting your lives on hold to support us and keep us sane!), as well as our wonderful neighbors for keeping us well fed and taking care of our high-maintenance lawn. It's been truly an answered prayer with the amazing show of support for us through this difficult time. Thank you all!
After our long day at Hopkins on Monday, Cooper had a few days off which he spent (surprise!) building Lego, puzzles and grandparent fun! We returned to the hospital on Friday for his lab results from Monday as well pulling new labs to check his levels. The continued great news is that his leukemia levels are down to 0.4% which is showing that he is responding very well to the treatments. They also did a genetic analysis of his chromosomes to determine the specific mutation that has caused all these issues. They determined that the mutation responsible is the "most favorable" and least aggressive - so for that we continue to be optimistic with his prognosis. On the more "real" side, Cooper has continued to show progress on his ability to run and simple tasks such as bending over. It's been amazing how quickly we are seeing real responses to his treatments. Prayers are being answered in such a real and amazing way that we have never experienced before. One minor hiccup is that Coop's hemoglobin levels had dropped slightly. This was nothing to be concerned over from the doctors perspective but something they will continue to monitor closely.
Now for the fun stuff!
Cooper's love for JMU has continued to grow from last years run! It was such fun to get dressed up and watch our Dukes on national TV! Despite the loss, we are so proud of our Dukes and the way they played on the big stage! Cooper also got some personal messages of support from the Walkersville Football Team (thanks Brett!) as well the JMU Deputy Athletic Director and Head Football Coach! Thank you Mr. Polglase and Coach Houston!

We continue to be humbled by the support, prayers and very simple acts of kindness and kind words from all of you. We continue to get good news from Cooper's doctors, which is nothing short of answered prayers. Thank you all again from the very bottom of our hearts!

Jason, Kristy, Cooper and Evyn
Karen and Dan Brown send their love to Cooper .... Please let Kitten and Walt our prayers are prevalent.
